Phoebe and Lee’s August wedding at Fleetwood Winery was a colorful fusion of Chinese and Western traditions. Highlights of this Northern Virginia Real Wedding include a Lion Dance, a pastel and lilac color palette, a stunning custom seating chart, and many personal touches, such as the “double happiness” symbol incorporated throughout the day.
Phoebe’s troupe that she has been a part of for a decade, Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe, performed a traditional Chinese lion dance with the “double happiness” design on the pair of red wedding lions. Phoebe and Lee had their grand entrance followed by the lion dance which was accompanied by the beat of the drum, clang of the cymbals, and cadence of the gong.

calligraphy on a poster with the Chinese character representing “love”. It was so touching to have Phoebe’s troupe bless them as newlyweds with a prosperous and life long marriage.
Fleetwood Farm, located in Leesburg, VA, offers a brand new event space with a capacity of 200 for a wedding reception (tables and chairs included), and an outdoor ceremony site called the “Ceremony Garden.”
The Pink Poppy combined soft lilac with shades of coral and pink for Phoebe’s bridal bouquet.
We love when there’s a Dog of Honor!

character. This symbol is frequently used in Chinese weddings and represents joy and happiness as the couple embarks on their journey as newlyweds. Phoebe and Lee made sure to incorporate this symbol throughout their tea ceremony and on their wedding day, such as on Lee’s cufflinks, programs, menu name cards, and signs.
