Summer Wedding at The Boathouse

Featured Real Weddings

Emily and Chris’s wedding took place at The Boathouse at Sunday Park, and all-inclusive venue situated on the banks of the 1700-acre Swift Creek Reserve. The couple opted for a soft palette of mauve, peach, and sage green, and filled their reception with unique personal touches, such as a live wedding painter, a private trolley, and a cutout and cake topper dedicated to their beloved cat, Ron.

Lawn games at weddings is a thing now! These Virginia Tech boards are another personal touch by the bride and groom.

Live wedding painting is a unique addition to a wedding reception. The couple hired professional artist Christina Pappion of Pappion Artistry to complete this portrait during their reception.

Notice the topper – another nod to their favorite cat, Ron.

The couple chartered this trolley from RVA On Wheels. The trolley can be used to transport guests to and from the ceremony in vintage city style.
