Sylvanside Farm Wedding

Marco and Jennifer were married at Purceville’s Sylvanside Farm in October, 2021. The day included an array of well-planned details, including three gorgeous pairs of shoes for the bride, a dog of honor, lawn games, a tensegrity cake, a resident horse, and a s’mores bar.

It’s hard to choose a favorite from these three pairs of fabulous shoes. We love the idea of something blue on the soles of the sparkly booties.

Every bride needs a loyal Dog of Honor.

Monogrammed PJ’s make a great gift. It’s something they can definitely wear again!

Sylvanside Farm is known for perfectly manicured, unparalleled landscaping. The farm is filled with nooks and crannies adorned with rustic flower gardens and climbing vines. There are endless spots in this expansive property for photographs (or just a few moments to reflect), including this small alcove where Jennifer had a first look with her father.

Against the grand backdrop of Sylvanside’s Rustic Poplar Barn (one of the largest barn venues in the area), lighted ficus trees dotted the barn and organically flowing ceiling drapes brought a touch of elegance.

Sweet treats included a tensegrity cake (that’s what we have named it) created by Cake Pop DMV, with a floating top layer using a tier separator from the UK company Prop Options. Cupcakes from Cakes by Lala and a s’mores bar rounded out the desert selection.

The resident horses are available for photo opps, and this one didn’t seem to mind posing for selfies with guests. Guests were also entertained with lawn games, including croquet, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and cornhole.
